My Koda10 Videos

Here are some vids I took of my Koda10 a couple weeks ago. Nothing crazy here..just an ordinary, daily-driving sub running 200w RMS. Probably not as impressive-looking as many other subs out there.....

Instead of hearing the same old Late Night Tip and test tones, I thought I'd throw in some real-world musical content for a change. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif So here's some Sarah McLachlan for ya! I'll videotape some rap playing too next time.

Again, this is defintely not an SPL sub, but it does play pretty clean and flat--that's good enough for me. (at least for now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ) Good for midbass fill, I guess...

On Edit: Here are a few more vids I took today...

not moving very much. but for a slow girl song, the bass sounded really nice thru your camrea for sure.

get some tone sweeps off it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and put it next to a soda can. lets see the whole box\trunk next time too.

Yeah there's not much excursion that's for sure. And that was the only CD I had in my car at that time......

For some reason, after realmofexcurion had compressed my files, the audio AND video quality of the clips were degraded. My original videos were also double the frame size, so it looked a little better being larger...but anyway, I'll try to get a shot of the whole box and trunk next time.

thx for the pron

I had one of those a while back

how do you like it??

throw some bass heavy in there that song wont move very much //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks. Yeah I will. Matter'a fact I'll do that today...

I'll swap in my Alum10Q some time next week as well, see how it stacks up against the Koda10. Then some time in the near future, I will swapping in an SPL sub when I have the funds to upgrade everything else as well(IE, alternator, battery, even thicker wires, more dynamat, beefier amp, maybe a capacitor, etc). But for now, I will have to make the most of my 200 watt amp and stock electrical system.

is that some deadening or duct tape around the box?
deadning. Here's a shot of the entire box. I will be painting the baffle as well as the port with eDead V.3 some time next week.

I've also taken some new vids today and will try to get them up ASAP...

that looks weird as fck for some reason....is the audio lined up correctly? oh and u should get a sub also. the koda>* for midbass, but get a brahma for some clean low end.

I agree..The Koda10 would be better as a midbass driver in a sealed box.

As for the sound...like I mentioned earlier, when realmofexcursion compresses my original files, the audio and video quality gets degraded. My original video window size is also twice as large. Oh well...

Sure the Koda 10 doesn't have the output of the Brahma, but it isn't THAT far behind. It definitely has some impressive bass capbility. I have one in my home and car audio systems right now.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but the Koda 10 is plenty loud for me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

Well, at the moment, my Koda10 is good enough for everyday driving. I have a weak stock electrical system to work with, so I had to go with a small amp, a very efficient box, and a good woofer that is easy to drive. Like I said, it is definitely not an SPL sub and it can't do hair tricks. But it can still get loud--louder and/or cleaner than most typical setups out there.

Ideally, I'd like to have an accurate-sounding small woofer in a sealed enclosure for upper bass, a mid-woofer like a 12-incher for midbass/boom, and a couple'a 18s for the low lows.

But that ain't gonna happen. For now, my Koda10 is the jack of all trades. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
