My Jasper Jig broke in half. Whats a Strong plastic bonding agent?

Any type of 2 part epoxy should do the trick.

Still, don't be surprised if it does not last long regardless, I'm assuming a fair bit of pressure was applied for it to break the first time?

perma epoxy 2 part is pretty awesome.. just make sure to read and follow instructions to the T.

we fixed a driveshaft out mudding one weekend with that stuff... we got stuck out too far for a tow truck, and too deep for anythign 2WD to make it out.

took some perma epoxy, and clapped on some lengths of cut flat steel around the length of the break, epoxied it all.. and BOOM... rode out and back to the trailer

how did u manage to get down underneath to the driveshaft if you got stuck mudding? and how were you able to clean off all the mud down there good enough to epoxy it. hard to believe but if its tru, cool story.

anways. I cut 4 holes and it works just as good as new. Now back to work!

ca glue isn't rubbery at all!

You can buy the rubbery stuff that is almost like goop. But once CA dries its hard as a rock.

Pick up some clear ca and some decent accelerator and glue it back, It will never fall apart if you do it right

It's still CA. You're still relying on adhesion rather than fusing the pieces together. It's all about the right tool for the job. Regardless of the CA formula, CA isn't the right tool for every job. It's usually pretty good, but not always the best.

In your example, the CA only needed to hold until the first batch of resin cured. After that, the fiberglass itself was holding things in place. Would you use CA to build a box instead of wood glue?

good point.

CA glue has been like duct tape for me for the past couple of years //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

EVERYTHING needs ca glue if its broken //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

you're in Cali. Has to be a few hobby shops in your area, find somewhere that builds RC cars, they should have a ton of the stuff //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
