turn the loud off

turn the hpf to 80-100

turn up the volume until the mids start to distort, then back it off a bit

now turn up the gain on the sub amp to where it is reaching full undistorted output

BAM! done

If i was you i'd remove that amp, and wire the speakers just from the radio thats how i have them, but then im soon to get an amp for my speakers

i also wonder if it has to do with my factory bose amp because i seriously cant turn it over volume 12 at the highest with the loudness on with out it sounding weird. What equalizer settings do you have.. I have mine on custom with the lows and mids set in the middle and the highs all the way up

SLA= source level adjustor IIRC, its a feature that Pioneers have in order to compensate for a difference in volume between sources such as switching between iPod and FM radio. Dont use it as a gain

whats screwing you up is the stock amp. i had a similar issue with my lincoln, putting beefier mids and highs in helps, as does ripping the stock amp out and replacing the amp and speakers

The problem with this is sometimes different songs will distort, and some wont. Especially in the case of using ipods or mp3 players because of different qualities. Having different bitrates and versions will mess stuff up(ever had some songs that are just super loud for no reason?)

thats why I try to download only via torrent or actually spend $10 on a real copy of something i actually like
