Ok, went to a local shop and picked up a pair of the new Alpine type r 6.5" components. So I take my door panel off for a sample fitting anddddd... They don't fit. So after about 20 minutes of cutting and fabrication, They fit. Time to run my kicker 16 awg hyperflex through the boot, into the doors. Simple aye? No. First off, the boot where it connects into the cabin is hardly possible to reach, I have over 20+ cuts on my hand from reaching in between the door and the panel. So I finally get the boot detatched and i start to run the wire... or so I thought. I go to disconnect the boot from the door end and BAM. It's a plug, with no room to run the wire around it or through it. The plug is what powers my windows and door locks. Needless to say, that really put a damper on my day. After a whole night of debating, there is nothing I can come up w/ that will work w/ out drilling a new hole in my door and my car which would require taking the door off which is not going to happen. Anyone have any ideas on what to do? The car is a 99' Honda Civic EX coupe. Don't start w/ the noob comments or anything because I have done this before in a couple other cars. I've never ran into the problem w/ out space like this. lmk Andrew
