well i'm turning to the forum on what i should do and what you people think of my situation. anyways i'm doing a college program and have 3 roomates. the building i'm in is all under 21 and people from other buidings have complained about the noise and drinking here. they do random inspections here but chose to do our's because of the drinking accusations. well in my apartment they found a pocket knife. the owner isn't confessing to it so they will terminate all 4 of us if one of us doesn't admit to it. we know who's it is, but he won't admit it and took off and i haven't seen him. i don't know what the hell to do now.

why cant you have a knife? can you have a kitchen knife or something of the sort? tell them that the knife belonged to whoever, and tell them that he took off and isnt back. just tell them the truth. i take you live in the forms as well??? do you mean terminate like expell you from the school, or terminate the living arrangments?

First:

Are these apartments or college dorms? In other words, are they owned, maintained or otherwise regulated by the college administration?

Second:

Is there an actual regulation stating that there are no knives allowed on the premises and have you seen this regulation? Does it outline how big the blade can be or what kind of knife you can have?

Third:

Are they going to expel you or kick you out of the apartment?

Fourth:

If the guilty party is gone for good, you and the other 2 guys should go to the administration and plead your case. Use the fact the the Guilty guy had disappeared and won't return phone calls if that is the case...

Doesn't sound like a fun place, which is why I'd be gone. Sounds more like a high school than a college campus.......but, besides that, you other three roommates just need to ban together and rightfully place the blame on the person who owns the knife, especially if he's going to chicken out on you other three and leave you out to dry.

Covering for his butt isn't worth screwing up your own life for. It's pretty obvious that he doesn't care about what happens to any of you.......

i am not covering for him at all. this is a college program with disney and they consider the pocket knife a weapon. they won't terminate just him because he says it isn't his so it's a he said/she said thing. my one roommate was gonna beat his *** so that is why he left. i hate this program anyways so i'll probably make an excuse to quit instead of getting terminated.
