My Clarion head unit doesnt work!!!

HI guys,

I am kind of desperate at the moment and would need some help in order to install my head unit (CLARION DRB3675).

I bought it via Ebay a week ago, tried to install it and guess what...nothing works!!! :-((

I gave it a try in my friend's car since this is initially supposed to be a surprise for my girlfriend ! The thing is that if that doesnt work now, I dont wanna lose my time trying to install it in my girl's car for nothing.

Anyway, I have identified the cables for the speakers, Rear and Front and also have been able to identify the BATT one (yellow with a 15A writen on it). I also have the ACC (accesories one) which is red in my case. I have another yellow one called BUS 14V (with a 3A written on it)...hope these descriptions can help someone to help me out.

I really dont know what to do, the cables from the car work fine and since i bought a new harness, it is not the harness either...

Where does my problem come from? is it a head unit problem or simply me who is not connecting the wires properly?

I would highly appreciate some help and if you guys need more information, feel free to send me an email on malagasy@hotmail.com

Cheers.

David

Oke, so it doesn't do anything? try hooking it up directly to a 12V battery. The BATT (yellow) and the ACC (red) go onto the + terminal the ground wire (black) onto the - terminal... See if it does anything then...
