ive driven 11000 miles since i got my license and ive seen one lambourghini and no other exotic cars. Theres nothin but shitboxes (which usually drive 10 under the speed limit and get on the interstate going 40) around here

people in/near the mountains dont drive nice cars, they drive trucks and shitboxes, like you said.

probably the nicest cars you will see will be in asheville, or will be driven by WCU students or teachers.

What IS gaudy? A 645 or an S430 with 20" rims.

How many people can honestly can tell the difference between an S65 and a S500 with the sport package? Most people can't, they see the three point star and get excited.

And Faulkton, do you know how much it costs to lease any of the cars mentioned? Paying out $3K a month to lease a Murcielago is still one helluva payment, especially when you don't own it.

I used to see nice cars when i lived in Seattle, but not here.

Its not that there aren't some people here with shit loads of money, because there are. It's just that most of the people here with a ton of money got it from selling off the farm land they worked for all their lives. They're all about 85 years old and drive brand new huge pickups and Cadillacs.

random side note: I asked the salesmen and the money guy at the local Lexus dealer here they both said 60% are leases. Most people around me spend way more than they can afford on cars.
