At 8-9 weeks, the puppy has grown enough that she can be put to sleep. & at the same time the nerve endings in her ears haven't developed fully, so there will be minimal bleeding. Also, the less time the ear's cartilage has to develop, the quicker the ears will heal & stand erect. By 10-14 weeks the puppys ears have much, much more nerve endings, which make the surgery more dangerous.[/quote']

So do they only feed their dog when they ask for food? That is the stupidest logic I have ever heard, & I hear it all the time.

I had a vet tell me that exact same thing, after first telling me I should be shot for mutilating my Doberman, & I responded by saying, "I saw a dog limping down the road after he got hit. I didn't bother bringing him here, if he wanted a vet he should have spoke up when I stopped & asked."

Cats get in my backyard at night and he teaches them not to come into his territory. The chickens were from where I lived last and my neighbor had chickens in their backyard...well they hopped the fence and that was their last move.

Great looking pups. I'm not typically for ear cropping, just because I don't really care for the look on most dogs. Some it looks good, some not so good.

This thread makes me miss my brindle. Stolen out of my yard at 6mo. old.
