In the future im going to be installing another battery to help my voltage drop, and i read on another thread that if u r going to be wiring batteries together then u have to have the same exact identical batteries otherwise u will be damaging the batteries' lives. Is this true?

it was an old thread, never mind ill figure it out somewhere else
well basically if they arn't the same they are supposed to see different charge from the alternator.....but i run 3 diffeent sizes (of the same type of battery) and i have no issues.......if you do replace/add another one i would replace both the under the hood battery and the rear bat for an agm, as long as you do that i wouldn't worry about size to much in my fiances car i have an hc1800 under the hood and an hc800 in the rear, and still no noticeable problems.

if you read it in another thread why not post in that one?instead of making another when there is dozens about the same issue.
lol

Just try to match AGM to AGM. Lot of people mix batteries and have no problem. Truthfully you are fine mixing a AGM with a acid battery even tho its not recommended it still works fine

It is just messed up what companies do to bring cheap products to our stores...

Its too bad that there are not many products made here anymore...

I have this done in my wifes car one is orbital and the other is a data safe. if i shut the breaker off the data safe in back goes from 12.56 to 12.6 but as soon as i turn the breaker back on it drop's.both batteries are in good condition butt they are different batts and charge different and discharge different

Thanks guys, once i get the cash i will most likely get two hc1800s or at least one of those and maybe a smaller one, better to play it safe and get two new ones considering i dont even know how old my current battery is
