I've checked before and Infiniti wanted almost $800 to replace the alternator in my car. Hell, I've done it once or twice before (shoddy wiring along with a capacitor wired up wrong caused the alternator to try to charge up a completely dead battery) and I am now able to do it within 20 minutes. I am going to be adding some more accessory lighting and an air-ride suspension system so it may just be worthwhile to get a H.O. alternator now.Oh BTW....here is an animated gif I made of my car at night.
