Some would say that a 4" tip is stupid but atleast that person is doing mods to there car and not leaving it stock, because i think that a absolutly stock car is garbage.. give them credit its not a full jump but hey atleast there starting out.

yea but that is like what 3g's on a paint job.. well agood one ne ways i dont know where you would go.. Maco? but i wouldnt get apaint job unless its going to be needed / worth it.. then the rims a expensive and same with good rubber that would be about 4+ in total and that 4 grand can go a long ways in a car's performance.

Well, I'll tell you this. Getting an new muffler, or exhaust system all together, will only put up 5-10 hp ticks on the dyno...nothing you can feel from behind the wheel.

As for the sound. . . watch out in some cities, either you will get a noise violation ticket, or your *** kicked.

3" exhaust on a 1.5L won't do anything for you either.

If you just want your car to sound like a 2 stroke motorcycle you should just go to autozone and get the cheapest piece of junk rice muffler they have. Find out what size pipe is on the intake side of your muffler and match it up to that. From there I think you can get a tip as big as you want up to 4". Those things SURELY can't cost more than $50. I only paid $40 for my dynomax ultraflo.

To the ricers you'll be just as cool as the next guy. To the people that actually understand exhausts you'll be an idiot, but at least you won't be a broke idiot.

Screw the exhaust, for the price that you have to pay for one they arent worth the money at first. like a full catback for a civic is around 500$ and then a header from DC sports is around another 300$ so if i were you i would get stuff for your car that people dont normally buy, like get a set of cams etc. because it comes down to about a pony per like 20$ with an exhaust.
