MTX801D vs. Xeon 600.1

I own both models

and thier is a huge difference between the models IMO

The 801D is a tank,the thing can run all day long,never gets hot and is very heavy duty

but.....

The xenon has better SQ,is less durable IMO

Xenons track record stinks , mine broke in 5 days - sure they replaced it but I havent used the replacment model yet - I am uncertain if I should bother with it or Ebay it off

If you go with the 801D I am pretty sure youll have an easy time of it

if you grab the Xenon your rolling the dice so make sure you get a warrenty

you can get a 1000 watts rms out of the mtx 801d if you know what your doing

I have never hada problem with ant PG amp. I cant speak for others though.

the PG has rubber ends, insulating the amp instead of using fins to cool, food for thought
