MTX TA7804 and MTX RT2001X on 5.25 Components

So I picked up a MTX RT2001X, and it simply out performs my expectations. It has to be about 20 years old and I can't believe how it sounds. So here is the question. Old school MTX was really good. How about not so old like the MTX TA7804? I am getting a great deal at $80.00 and it works and looks brand new. I am considering using it or the RT2100X for 2 sets of 5.25 component speakers (Old School MB Quartz made in Germany). Is the MTX 7804 or MTX 2100X going to be higher SQ? I also have an Alpine MRV-F340 with only 4 x 55 watts. I understand the THD is much lower on the Alpine but haven't used a lot of Alpine.

So you own all three of these amps? Hook each one up and let your ears tell you what sounds the best. What sounds good to one person may sound like garbage to another. Just because people say that the alpine sounds the best doesn't mean that is going to be the case in your install .

I haven't picked up the TA7804 yet. I am getting what I think is a good deal at $80.00 but am slowly dealing with my audio addiction by trying to avoid buying another amp. I took your advice, the MTX sounds stronger if that makes sense, whereas the Alpine sounds warmer. I have no clue what to expect from the MTX TA7804 so I thought I would ask. It's a beast but I don't have any experience with that amp line.
