The funny thing is that I was absolutely an MTX hater until I heard a ground pounder vehicle with 2 9500's on about 1000 watts each in some large boxes. I decided to give it a try, and I'm now happy I did.

Heh, I'm old school, so it was hard to get me to come over, I remembered MTX's reputation from the early 90's, in which I pretty much compared them to Pyramid. I still don't think I'd buy any of their lower class subwoofers though.

ooooo hell no i would never buy there lower end stuff the lowest i would go is 7500 series and amps are limited to what i would buy as well....as far as the company they have made a turn around and now have really nice products such as the 9500 or at least i think so

back in march, i talked to one of the head reps from MTX....at that point he said they had only had 3 returns for blown V.C. on the 9500's...none from being overpowered....just mis-use and faulty little errors.

yeah they are a bulit proof sub......even to get them reconed is about 150 give or take so its still not taht bad either

IMHO, and from the systems I've heard the L7 sounds better, but the 9500 beats it in pure volume.

I've heard many say the 9500 is much better as a SQ sub than ANY kicker sub. But to me it all depends on the manner in which its being used.

very true install dependant is a big thing. still like the 9500's over the kickers big time i used to have two 12" l7's loud but not the best

again very true but i myself just wasnt a fan of the sq but i did love the way they would hit lol broke the mirror twice
