mtx 9500 12" ohm levels

ok I am going to be picking up one of these subs in a single ported box mtx 9500 12". what i need to know is, which of these amps should i use and how should i wire it up, a memphis st1000.1 1100 at 1 ohm or orion xtr900 900 at 4 ohm.....

yep. either way with one sub it'll be 2 or 8 with the DVC. not gonna get 1 ohm

you need to look for 2 ohm stable amps then. what is the budget? i liked the mtx 1501d i have on the same sub.

both of them are stable at 2 ohms just not that much rms wattage

yeah i know but, the memphis amp i have is only 600 watts rms at 2 ohm stable and the orion is 450watts at 2 ohm x2ch but orions are always higher just not sure how much, so ill have to see if i can trade with someone or get a new amp.....or just run it at 600 watts untill i can get something this sub really deserves!! suggestions????

find you an MTX 801d, 81000d, 1000d or 1501d

ok! thanks, Just another question. what would the difference be if i ran this at 1000 watts at 2ohm or 1000watts at 8ohm??
