mtx 7500 vs. jl12w6v2?

well looking at the specs of the W6V2 and the 7500. there are some similarites. same Xmax. 16.5mm. same power handleing. 400watts, Efficiency is both 85 dB.

the 7500 has an FS of 40hz the W6V2 has a FS of 25Hz. the JL has the ability to get lower, more efectivly. both weigh 20lbs

i own the 7500, and love it. how ever if ihad the chance to buy a W6 im probably would. MTX makes solid drivers but this one does lack a bit in the lower end of the frequancy scale!

so basically the 7500 is really close to the w6v2? and better than the w3v2s?

which one would you say would handle more power and could get louder? i currently have the 7500's in a slot ported box but i dont know wat the box is tuned to...

It's hard to classify the two subs in the same class. I would say the 8500 is more like the W6 where as the 7500 is like the W3. MTX is using the marketing strong-arm to label one is better than the other. I'm sure in a double blind test, it would be hard to tell the difference, but those with the "golden ear" could tell the difference. The JL will have a lower bass reproduction with a smoother response, the MTX will potentially get louder but the tonal reproduction may not be as clear.

for the millionth time, would people quit doing side by sides of T/S parameters? doesn't tell you anything!!!!!!!!!!! they're created under different standards
