How much space from the surface of the box to the back of the trunk do I need so the sub will not hit it?

well the sub isnt going to come out of the box 4" so i think it will be ok

personal prefrence is to have the subwoofer diameter from any surface, if you are just worryed about the sub actualy hitting the back of the trunk, look at the specs of the sub. the one way excursion of the sub is usualy stated in mm.

There is no specs that I can find of the mt.

I redid my amp rack and it gave me 7 1/2 - 8 inches now so I am good to go.
