I've been looking for a new car, but I don't want a beater. I was thinking import. Either a Second Generation Integra, a 240sx (Either the S13 or S14 model. It'd be hatch or coupe in that order).

I just thought of an MR2.

Then fill the trunk with subs, and have a sub in the front. o_o

That would be great sound imaging IMO. Then just put the amps behind the seat.

they're also hard as hell to work on. that engine bay is TINY

I've always thought the 2nd gen MR2's were pretty nice....I like the turbo'd T-top models.....

You only need to hook up 4 wires in the engine bay... so it's not that big of a deal. And Tiny bay normally means you can do a really clean install with little ease.

And yeah, the second gen. First and third gen are ridiculously hideous.

I had two 15's in the front of my Fiat x1/9 that I had (which is another mid engine car)....it was an interesting feeling having the subs firing at your feet thru the front firewall that was cut out.

I don't advise subs in the trunk of an MR2 the engine vibrations cancel alot out trust me I've tried it. Your best luck is to cut the factory sub/storage boxes and go from there.

The easiest thing i think is to get 2 "10s behind the seats and put the amp under the hood up front, because thats right where the battery is, and putting the subs in the trunk wouldn't work cause of engine noise, especially if u get a upgrade exhaust

and who said mr2s r expensive, not really, between 3k and 8k

I've had 2 240sx's (1990 and 1991) and both got loud on crappy equipment. The MR2 is a much better choice but I'm not sure about SPL so much as the car itself.
