ipods are bad for SQ? i am about to get an alpine deck so i can interface it w/ and ipod. are you saying that a 192kbps song on an ipod is worse than a 192kbps song on a cd-r?

Too many factors to call... headphones, ears, cd player mp3 decoder, car speakers, ears again...

CD is 728kbps.

SACD is 1500.

subs? im gonna have subs. ill have my 13w7 soon, so sq should be great. as long as the ipod itself has, at most, a minimal affect on sq, then ill go ahead with what im doing.

im not complaining about sq. im just wondering. i want good sq, but ease of use is a little more important to me. hence that fact that ill be getting an ipod to hold ALL my songs, AND an alpine HU that fully interfaces with it. i just dont want shitty sound. if its a bad idea to get an ipod, then im worried. if its just like an mp3 on a cd-r then im fine with it. i kn ow mp3s **** for sq. if i could have loss-less compression with ease of use, i woul. but i dont have the $$ for a carputer that can play .ogg or anything, so im stuck with what i can get.
