mp3 player with aux input

I am looking to buy a car audio mp3 player. I have a portable minidisc player that I want to be able to play thru my car stereo occasionally. Do I need a front panel aux. input on the mp3 player? Or, is there another way? Maybe hook up from a rear input somehow?? Seems not many mp3 stereo units have front input.

Thanks for your help!

Is there a BT, USB or other AUX option? May be time to convert your CDs to a solid sate option and use it until you replace the init altogether.
