Well I've had alot of amp trouble over the past few months n after posting my woes it seemed to be a common consensus that my amps were dying as a result of too much vibration from me mounting them on the box....sooo....i jus got a new amp and i dont want the same thing to happen but i have no where else really to mount it.....so do u think if i mounted it on rubber washers this would help to absorb the vibration and solve the problem or should i wait til i can find a way to mount the amps off the box? all suggestions welcome //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

But if the vibration is THAT BAD, you could have the amp rack built to go under a seat or something. But yeah, I've heard of using rubber mounts too.

what kind of vehicle are we talking about? in my car, my amp is mounted on the back of my back seat, but you can also mount it underneath one of the front seats if theres room....just a couple of ideas

You could always brace the box. You know, the inside so it does not vibrate...if it is vibrating bad enough to ruin amps it needs bracing anyway!
Yeah i'd agree with that 100%.

Screw another board to the box where your mounting the amp, if you wanna be extra safe screw two layers.

Make sure you throw a decent # of screws in the board if your gonna do it or you might just be making the problem worse.

um. how bout just get some foam shit and put it between.

or like the guy said put another layer of mdf down.

this is really a common sense thing. use your BRAIN to solve the problem.
