Anybody know which ones to avoid.

Got a JVC SH707 "with error 1" message.

Any hints on fix process?

Already tried the reset on the face plate

I would give JVC a call (I got great support when I called) 1-800-252-5722

do a hard reset. mine used to get an error but now it hasnt for a while. kd-sh55

OK but what's a "hard reset"?

The reset button on the face plate has no effect on the motorized face.
