Motor grinds on 7893?

When the face folds open on my 7893, there's this grinding sound. I check the install to make sure it is not pinched anywhere. Just send it in for repair. Anyone out there have the same prob.

Thinking about getting the Nak CD400. What's the opinion on this unit?

take one of those keyboard cleaning air cans and spray where the face is connected to the motor and inside...

make sure you spray all of the moisture out first... you dont want that in your head unit at all...

The nak should sound excellent given their reputation, but that particular deck has just been released so we won't have any reviews about reliability for awhile(that seems to have been an issue with some naks in the past).

I remember back in the day...I had a TD 700 tape deck & It was awesome! No problem with built quality then. Do you know if Nak nowadays is build by someother manufacturer?

What sort of problem did CD45z has?

I have no personal experience with Nak decks, but there were many posts on the forums

mentioning issues with playing cdrs and issues with cds not ejecting. Some had great experiences too.
