Does anyone have an alternator from them? Im thinking about getting a hight output one for my car in about a week.

Why not go to a reputable company such as Iraggi or Excessive Amperage?

I had DECENT luck with them. worked well, but the idle output voltage was a bit on the low side.

Teammate has a Motor City Reman and hasent had a problem with it. @ 1k rpm sits at 13.2 and @ 2k sits at 16.5

i will agree with ngsm, parkave.

i suggested a mean green alt for my friend after getting mine. he wanted to go cheap and pick up a motorcity reman alt for his explorer instead.

the pulley that came with it was the stock size and his voltage was in the low 12s at idle. he complained to them and they sent him the smallest pulley they got for his car. i helped him put it on....now his idle is around 13.9 or so in park. as soon as he puts it into drive the voltage drops to around 13.1.

it seems to me that they simply cut on wayyyy too late. he has to be around 1krpm at idle for the alt to work nicely...the problem is his idle is controlled by the control module. so we cant adjust it.

my mean-green will go down to almost 100rpm before i see ANY decrease in voltage on my dash voltage gauge.

he told me he wishes he would of listened to me....

i will only buy mean-green or HO brand alternators

They're junk now-a-days too...

Can't tell you how many OhioGen's I've replace with Stinger alternators... in just the past year.

About a dozen just myself.

I've put atleast three in since I started working at the shop I'm at now and zero problems. Shop dow nthe road is a dealer for them and they haven't been having any problems.

Only problem I've ever heard is one guy I worked with at circuit city... gus never did really fix his for him. It is still running way lower than it should...

What's going wrong with the ones you are putting in?
