You an start with basic programs like fruity loops just to get the hang of beat making and what not.

still need some equipment. digital work stations, mixers, drum machines, etc. can you direct me to a site that has info some some personal studios?

also a good one. Sonar is nice too. These are pretty advanced pieces of software though. They put fruity loops to shame.

Yeah deffinitly I was just suggesting fruity loops as a begining program to dabble with then move on to reson cubase sonar etc

i dont know if they really put FL5 or 6 to shame, they get better with time and youd be suprised what you will find.ive been making music for over 5 years now, and went to reason used it for a bit, but went back to FL as the wase of throwing samples in there and the FL slicer is definitely a +, adds a whole new side.
