isnt the 99 motor bigger than an 8" basket? only option would be to mount inverted

i am thinkng for the money the 4 each l7 will be the best bet

i looked on their website for enclosure specs

how much airspace net sealed does each driver need

how much airspace vented does each need net

any input on my ? about 8" driver

the DD's will probably take the most power. the SS 8"s are pretty solid drivers from everything i hear, i have yet to really play with them, but they are what we were going to use for that challenge. the W7 8"s are probably the ONLY driver i would ever buy from JL. they are flat out impressive, loud, accurate, great sounding and they soak up some power. their only downfall is their depth. but if you can overcome that, they would be my pick hands down. they are going to take more power than just about anything else, and also sound better.

my second pick would probably go to the soundsplinters, then the DD's. the one i would recomend staying away from(only because of the power you have) is the RE 8"s. you would need alot of those to keep up with the power you have. but if you were careful with the gains, could probably be just as loud as the latter with the RE 8"s.

in all honesty, in a 350 i would not go more than 2 woofers... you dont have room for anything more than 2 ported woofers, and i would take 2 ported over 4 sealed just about any day.

3 dd 1508s do have the potential to get loud...I heard Alan's Passat with the 3 dd 1508s on a stetsom 2k6 and it was pretty loud and sounded great.....

he said it was @ 147....
