I had 2 JBL 1200.1's and I think one is toast. I want to get 1 big amp for my 18" MT, therefore I can add another amp down the road when I get my 2nd MT. What amp would you choose for the most power for the smallest amount of money? The sub is a dual 1.4. I was thinking Orion 2500d, but it is kind of expensive. Viper 2500d maybe, Visonik 4000d, Kicker zx2500.1.

If I can get 2 amps that will pwer it for cheaper then maybe I will do that. Maybe some Power Acoustic a3000's or Lanzar Opti2000d's.

My plan is to get a 2nd dual 1.4 MT 18" so hopefully 1 amp now and when I get the other sub, I'll add a 2nd amp.

there is actually someone on the forum powering an 18" MT with 2 a3000's at .7 ohms. He seems to have no issues and it wang. I would go with that if funds are limited..

I would be able to power it yes, but those MT's are power hungry. They would need more than just 1 to get going nicely. I have heard a few people say, that MT's on 1200 rms for a daily driver is loud enough. If i were you, i would get the 2 and strap them.

Hmm...maybe for now I'll get one then when I get my 2nd MT I'll add another so...

2 MT 18"s with 2 PA a3000's at .7 each?
