My longest single workday was 24 hours. It was contained within a continuous 33 hour shift.
At the time I worked for a limo company that hauled railroad crews around. After having driven from Shreveport, LA to Houston, TX twice, to Pine Bluff, AR twice, and a couple of other shorter trips I brought their Suburban to them, parked it, and told 'em to forget I existed for the next 2 days. Went home and turned the ringer and the answering machine off.
I was beat. Completely. If someone had broken in my house to rob me...if they had managed to wake me up (which would have been highly unlikely) I wouldn't have had the energy to do anything about it but be mad and watch them.
