Happy New Year everyone.

I took it upon myself and bought me some Christmas gifts. so i'll be posting a little log on my 2 installs.

98 Dodge Ram:

Alpine CDA-9855

Infinity Reference 6x9's and 5.25's

(2) Sundown SA-8v3 (D4)

02 Chevy Blazer:

DD 2510 or Sundown x-10's

My 98 Ram install is done for now. sounds good, Lows are amazing. I need to play with port lengths to find the sweet spot. I am not sure of the enclosure volume or tuning. It is a temp box to get me by till I can get a good box design figured out (I could use help if anyone is willing). Dodge rams are not enclosure friendly.

I have started building my Blazers box already. so once that install is complete I will be posting pictures. I am waiting for my Ram install pictures to upload right now, I will post those when available..

One question if anyone can answer. As I do not know the volume or tuning for my SA-8's box and wanting to play with the port lengths, can anyone tell me if adding length to 3" round ports raises or lowers tuning. right now I'm thinking I'm right around 30hz'ish. I have (2) 3"x13.5" ports in the box. I'm trying to figure out if adding will raise or lower tuning. I'm trying to get to 35-45hz tuning.

I figured out that I'm at 2cf @30hz. I'm going to shorten my ports and bring me up to about 38hz.

here are some pictures. Don't mind the box, it is just a temp/test box and something for me to use till I get around to designing and building me a permanent box.

Got the Blazer done today. i went with the DD's. guy had them locally and ive had my eyes on them for a few weeks so i pulled the trigger. Glad i did. sound amazing.

the enclosure came out perfect. 2.9cf @ 36hz. very musical and moves some air for 2 10's.

too dark out, so i'll try and get some pictures and videos up tomorrow.
