I read the first post in this thread figuring I had a good idea of the kinda thread it would turn into.

I was right.

Not that I've really been around long enough to see what it might be like another way but thus far I take no issues with the mods who currently serve.

If a person has to change the style of their posting during the elections, then they're not fit to be a mod. Look at what it does during US presidential elections. While Loki's a nice guy to deal with in the classifieds, I rarely see him in other forums where mods would be more necessary. I also see him being pretty short tempered a little more than occasionally, even if it's usually against lowballing n00bs.

Unfortunately, there aren't many members with the knowledge, common sense, and other sutff qualified to be mod that already aren't. A good deal of the few that do are still climbing that seniority ladder for post count, which means they have a long time to go or need to start post wh*ring. (which will inevitably disqualify them because they're a dumbass post wh*re....)

I didn't feel the need to read all 10 pages, but I am suprised you'd even ask a question like this...

It's almost a joke to me.

You don't campaign yourself to become a moderator. That's what the fat ugly people did at my highschool for like homecoming queen.

You may be a good seller/buyer but don't ask and campaign yourself to become a mod!!!!!
