Not really. People want peons they can pay minimum wage in this economic down turn. Why would they pay someone $13 an hour to do the same job someone whos willing to accept $10 or $8 an hour can do? They are out there, your just either not qualified, cant nail an interview, or your not trying hard enough.

minimum wage here is 10.xx so im okay with that. lol

and im not sure what else to do. i think its the interview thing. cuz my app looks like crap. because ive only worked for 1 other person, and it was family. im confident that once i get an interview ill get the job. just cuz of how i present myself and talk. but i cant seem to get one. ive applied everywhere i can think of. Fast food joints, supermarkets, malls. and stop in probably every other week or so to talk to the managers.

There are school services that help you put together your resume. Do up a cover letter, resume, and DONT have any typos. Call 2-3 times a day for the hiring manager. I graduated with my associates last semester and its not even on my official transcript yet. I had an interview for an IT Administrator and got offered the job on the spot. I more than doubled my hourly pay rate, I gained benefits, I gained my own office, and Ive been working at KFC for the last 3 years with no job experience in my field.
