MOD PLEASE STICKY THIS! alarm bench prep

Everyone may have a different way but for someone looking to get into installing pt/ft, its a nice tutorial. Murph is prolly the most knowledgeable person I've ever encountered in regards to alarms. The pics of his installs are top notch and wish I had someone around me that would do work like that.

Then, especially @ CC... when they come back for their FREE uninstall (for the life of the vehicle)... what happens when you need them for the next vehicle they want to put it on?

well the store should order all NEW wire harnesses anyway. and use the same brain. so that should not be an issue

the best part was that he didnt even describe how he shot the wires or tested any locations.

he didnt describe why he used what wires for that car, he just said cut wires you dont need off and tape everything up.

nothing of significane was explained at all. IIRC - dont dodge neons have resistor based locks too? or is it just two different circuits that need a diode in between?

Hey guys I see you found my BENCH PREP document. That's right it's a bench prep document for installers. Everyone has to start somewhere.

The reason no pins are removed is for future upgrades. I believe in doing security installation not alarms. A T tap will never touch my work. Solder and tape only.

That I know of CC does not pull alarms for free. That would be a waste of money. This type of install is labor intensive.

Everyone has their own style and I am not saying mine is the best. I have not seen anyone else trying to teach the basics. I am working with a company on security training from basic to advanced integration. We will offer onsite training and more.

Just to give you haters a little background. I have 14 years experience in retail mobile installation. I am one of the contributors to the new MECP master’s guide. I have been of the forums for over 8 years. For some strange reason I like to help people.
