ok guys, i need some help here. i recently just purchased a 2001 infiniti qx4. the qx4 includes a 6.5" tv hanging from the roof, and it includes a VHS which is located in the trunk. Well, i removed the VHS and it was hooked with this one plug. This plug look like a s-video connector, but it wasnt. Well what i want to do now is add an external dvd. Instead of the VHS, i want to replace it with a dvd player. What do i have to do to accomplish?

If you have the manuals on any of it you could look it up.

If you don't I'd try looking up the maker of the VCR/LCD screen and see if they have online support. Hopefully they have a downloadable manual or could fax or mail you one.

Maybe also do some Google searches for the make/model of the VCR.

I have a monitor convertor. Has that s-type plug that connects to a box. The a power ground and video wire come out of the box. Would probably work perfect.

Try searching around ebay for one of them.

Maybe I'll just post a pic when I get off of work today.

Piture the S-type cable going from the monitor in to a little black box. Then on the other side of the box picture a power/ground wire coming out. And a video cable too.

I don't know how else to describe it? It's a box and cables...

DVD -> video cable coming out of box -> black box converts the video signal -> Signal comes out of box in to S-type cable -> S-type cable conects to monitor.

And the whole time this is happening it also sends the power and ground signal to the monitor:crazy:
