Hi, I am a tottal noob in car audios.

I recently got a Mmatts 3000.5 amp.

I see there are 2 battery inputs. +- and +-

Do i need two batterys to run this? What can i do to hook this up?

I had a jl 1000/1 installed in my car so i only have 1 power wire and 1 ground wire.

I am waiting on two 12 SX subs to pair with the Mmatts amp.

Can someone explain to me how i can use the quad battery terminals with only 1 power and 1 ground wire..

SOORRY FOR BEING NOOB.. Any help would be nice.

Thanks

At least 1 run (2 runs would be better) 1/0 to an auxillary battery then 2 runs of 1/0 from the aux. batt to the amp. Oh, and you most likely need to upgrade your alt. Plus Big 3 in 1/0.

Thanks for the help guys but I HAVE no clue what that means..

Does it mean..

I go to my battery in car wheere there is 1 wire from neg and 1 wire from positive.

I take the 1 and split each of the + and - into two wires?

So pretty much spliting the single wires that comeso ut from my battery into 2 lines each rite?

So i will have 2 wires from + and 2 wires from - than take those 4 wires and put both + and both - in the amp.

Am i correct or wrong?

Im sorry im totally lost..

I currently have a 2006 Maxima would i need a new alternator or new battery ?

ANYBODY NEAR NJ WHO CAN INSTALL FOR ME FOR $$$???

new battery, yes

new alternator, highly highly recommended.

some new wire, yes

big 3, yes

best thing for you is to do is to have 2 positive runs coming from your front battery to ur back battery. then 2 positive runs from that back battery to the input of that amp.2 negative runs from the amp back to the negative on that back battery. then 2 short runs of negative going to a very good ground spot somewhere back there. look up big 3, and the 3 main spots to upgrade, do those with dual runs. trust us the big 3 is vital, and if ur doing dual runs to the back, you need to do dual runs all over.

with that much power, you can probly survive with a decent battery up front and a good abttery in the back. a decent starting battery is an optima red top. thats a "starter" battery, if you get a deep cycle battery for the trunk you;; need a selinoid to seperate the batteries if they're wired together. or a battery isolator and run just the back battery to the amp. id recommend a selinoid (i think thats how its spelled iirc).

depending on ur budget, if u can afford it. get a kenetik 2400 for the back, and some kind of small deep cycle battery for the front. if both batteries are the same kind (deep cycle, lead/acid (starter)) then you dont need a celinoid or a bettery isloator. get some nice batteries and save up for a nice high output alternator. time to do some research my man....but trust me. a HO alty is worth it.

Wow.. Thanks A Ton For Hte Info.

I Am Thinking Its Gonna Be Better Off Letting The Car Shop Do It.

Or Maybe I Should Sell This Amp And Get Something Else.

I Really Wanted To Just Have The Amp Subs And Box.

No Extra Battery Or Anything..

Thanks A Ton For The Help
