Mmats D3000.1 under 1 ohm?

I want to run 4 DC Lvl 4 18s and have the money to order now...and I have 2 mmats d3000.1s which is enough power to push the subs, but running those amps under 1 ohm daily sounds risky... anyone on here ran these or any mmats amp under 1? Or know someone that did? Any help is appreciated

I ran a mmats d300hc modded at 0.5 ohm daily but my electrical system killed it after a few weeks.Sorry this isnt very relevant to your question but I figured id throw out my only mmats experience.

As long as you have the electrical to back it up you can safely run them under 1 ohm, after rise you will be above 1 ohm anyways, so should not be a problem.

Naw man Ill take any input I can get. What were you running for electrical? and what was it modded to do? run at .5?

if you want to run those amps lower for burps that'll be fine, but for DAILY HELLL NOOO!! get the d3500.05's if u want to run @ .5(thats why they sell those).. don't mess up those nice amps man..

are you interested in a stetsom 7kd?

As long as you have the electrical to back it up you can safely run them under 1 ohm, after rise you will be above 1 ohm anyways, so should not be a problem.

the problem with this amps, is that they have a very strict protection circuit so the amps e'll shut offf unless he gets them modded!

I have never had any experience with this amp before. I am sure the mod would not be that difficult to get done.

It was just the factory mod from mmats that they provided back in the day.I think its for .5 ohm stability which it IS but as far as electrical I had a stock 120 amp alt and big 3 with 0 gauge directly to the amp and a blue top optima.The d300hc is insane though,just the remote wire terminal will take about a 4 gauge with some convincing haha

you dont need that many batts for this amps, i was running 2 d3500.05's on 2 pm d3100's and 2 runs of 1/0 with a 200 amp alt and a 2700 up front, it was more than enough, but overkillin it is always good

How much power would I see with the stated electrical? Id like to stay away from 16v if at all possible bc its so expensive
