Yea, the poor bastard looks broken. I used to be a hardcore Jackson hater, now I just hate his parents, they screwed the poor guy up. The double jeopardy deal only protects you from being accused of the exact same crime more than once. If a different kid were to bring charges against him he could potentially be right back in court if indicted by a grand jury.
