I have a 2006 Chevy Impala (Without Bose System) and I decided to with the Metra 70-2105 wiring harness to a Kenwood Excelon kdc x492 head unit. The seperate 12 volt accessory wire will need to be hooked up to an existing 12 volt accessory wire (Can't use the the Red 12 Volt Acc On Harness).

I know that the:

-Yellow – 12V Constant

-Red – 12V Accessory (Must find and use seperate accessory wire, plus why does this wire have a spade connector crimped onto the end of it, anyone know what the use of that is)-Black - Ground

-Orange – Dash Light Dimmer/Illumination (I do not see an orange wire, Instead I'm seeing a blue wire-not sure what I'm going to use that for)

-Green – Left Rear Speaker (+)

-Green with Black Stripe Left Rear Speaker (-)

-White – Left Front Speaker (+)

-Purple – Right Rear Speaker (+)

-Gray – Right Front Speaker (+)

I have an '08 Silverado and used a Metra harness in combination with a PAC SWI-Jack harness for the steering wheel controls. Probably should have used the harness from PAC only (PAC OS-311) as they have one that combines OnStar, chime, etc. and sterring wheel controls in one, but I digress. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

What I'm trying to say is I may be able to help you as I am familiar with the wonderful world of GM OEM wiring harnesses, at least in relation to the audio portion. However, I am a bit confused by your post and would simply ask...what is the exact question that you have?

Didn't you already make a thread on this yesterday??

You are going to have to find an accessory wire. Easiest place will be at the ignition harness as I said before. The metal spade on the wire is for a running it to the fusebox which you don't have to do.

And the orange wire leave disconnected. Connect the blue wire if you have a power antenna.
