Metered my MT10

Made a quick stop over to LivinLife's house (Dante). Did a quick meter. 1.75ft^3 @ 34hz. Around 2000 watts on a 2500d. Used a 40hz test tone. Didn't have time to find my peak frequency due to being on my lunch break. Pulled a 135.9db.

Also got to hear his XXX18. And I have to say it is one mean sub. Gave me a headach sitting in his car. Maybe it was the heat????

Who knows. Maybe after I build a SPL geared box and find the right frequency I can break 136db...

I'm sorry to say, no dis or anything, but a 135.9 is pretty sad for an MT on 2000 watts. Even though it's only a 10", it is still not very good. I was expecting 140+. Maybe it will be a little higher if you find the peak.

What do you expect in a daily driver box with impedance rise and no setting up for the meter at all?

It sure as hell is not the final meter I'll do on it. It was a spur of the moment meter.

I expect to see it increase greatly when I have it all setup correctly.

Anyways. It was cool to see what it can do in my daily box.

You should get that 10 in the 140's with alittle messing around.

memphissoul4u did 139.x with an mt 10 @ 26 Hz, it was in his thunderchicken, 4.5^3 somewhere n the high 20's

it was on a vfl 150.1 at .5 ohms

Yeah my box is much smaller, not 1 thought was put in to SPL for this box. Also this is in a SUV, Mitsubishi Montero sport.

I don't know if you guys are realizing this has daily driver written all over it:fyi:

Nah i found that my MT likes a fairly small box im willing to bet mine is no larger then 3.5 for a 15" MT
