What have you listened to that didn't sound good on a decent system? I've never had a problem with metal sounding right, except for some poorly enclosed cheap subs not keeping up with a double kick lol

Agolloch and Amon Amarth and At The Gates etc. Most of their older ****. just sounds clipped as ****. Newer technical metals and progressive stuff is usually recorded well. Opeth gets played a lot

Poor recording quality is almost a signature of some styles of metal.

P.S. I'd kill a ***** that did that on my hood.

Opeth sounds great in my ride. They have very good recording quality.

yeah amon amarts old stuff sounds like shirt. But its most likely because they started out broke.

Newer albums never seem to have this problem.

Whitechapel, the acacia strain, texas in july, as i lay dying, august burns red, nevermore, fear factory. and so on and so fourth all sound good.

Fear factorys first 2 albums were terrible recording same goes for AILD.

but thats probably the money issue.
