hey UCP: how is the caprice at getting the bass in the cabin? or if anyone else has experience i would like to see some numbers or something to give me a comparison. i remember wanting a caprice since i was 16...when i finally got my license at 18, i instead got an explorer sport...still regret it to this day. not thats its a bad car, but i could of picked up a running 73 glasshouse for $2500, but my mom told me i was not allowed to spend my OWN money to buy a car i wanted. im 21 (almost 22) everytime i see a caprice/impala (73,75,96) i realize the mistake ive made

oh wait, undercoverpunk, you got a station wagon...hmmm anyone with a trunked one got any info about how much bass the trunk traps?

I've had both son.

2 18's up-firing sealed in the trunk, jeezy averaged on 2500 watts = 142db for me.

been thinking of getting rid of my explorer for a good 1.5 years if not more. would say a 10 cube gross box fit relatively easy into the trunk? ive seen the trunks but i wasnt to into car audio at the time. i was thinking maybe getting a 15" BTL off the kx2500 for my explorer, and when i finally sell it, upgrade to 2 btl's and 2 2500.1's. just wondering if its worthwhile. i mean if it take that much power just to sound somewhat loud in the cabin, its not worth it.

does the term relatively mean the box can still be assembled outside and put in? or would it be an in trunk build?

also do the rear seats come out or are they permanent?

They come out, but it's not a way into the trunk, lol. Over 8 net seal fit in pretty easily, with some wiggle room... I don't see why 10 can't be done.

im assuming with something like 10 cubes it would be better to face the subs/port to the front and try to seal off the trunk due to the box size?

also, so when you take the seats out its basically a metal type slab?
