measuring voice coil's with a DVM

I was doublechecking to see if I wired my subs correctly, So i was thinking that if i hooked up the ohm meter on the final wire that it would give me the final load. Well the meter was jumping from 2-5 ohms and its supposed to be at .67.

is it my DVM??

Did you measure with the wire disconnected from the amplifier?

I would grab a different DMM and measure them again.

Just to eliminate a variable.

if it was windy outside the air movement can cause the subs to move and that will make your readings change. If you were touching the sub that would make it read strange also.

Like moe lester said... if you were making the cone move it would jump like that.
