Md2 or RE 35.1

I ordered my 15 BL, and im lookin to put 1500-1700 watts to it. so ive got the option of these two.

Ive seen several people with problems with their MD2's, so that makes me a little timid to go buy one, and i can get a used one for around 300 bucks.

The RE/ampman ive heard nothing but good things about, and i can get a used one for the 250 range.

Which one is a more solid amp? thanks

I have never had a problem with my MD2. Both are great amps.

Both are good, I would go RE though.

I run the MD2D...it is pretty good but I like my MD3D much better. There is a larger weight difference and the MD3D can run strapped. The MD2D cannot be strapped (well is isn't built to be) I am unsure about the 35.1 in this aspect/

the RE 35.1D cannot be strapped, RE made some test models of a 36.1D that was strappable but didnt go into production

never had a problem with my md2 either. I think its a solid amp and very efficient on my electrical system. Never dropped down lower then 13.0 when i had it running at 1 ohm to my rl-p's.
