Prom-Revealing Dresses

MARRERO, La. (AP) -- Dozens of girls were turned away from a prom

at a Louisiana high school this weekend because a teacher thought

their dresses were too revealing.

Families of the girls say the teacher cited alleged violations

of the school dress code. Most of the offending garb apparently

involved excessive display of cleavage.

One prom-goer thinks his date was turned away because of how

she's built. He calls that "discrimination" and thinks that's

"wrong."

Jefferson Parish school district officials are backing the

teacher. They say she was simply enforcing a dress code that's been

in effect for years.

They add that some of the girls were admitted after they fixed

their dresses.

yea i dont go to the school that it happened at but i go to a jefferson parish school...that dress code is bullshit in my opinion but they have had it in effect forever....if they dont want to get in trouble, then dont break the rules. im no good kid but when it comes to prom, follow the rules, have a good time, and get drunk afterwards lol

the sad part is, those are pretty conservative..... i wish i had a pic of the girl i took to homecoming, her dress was more revealing an i went to a private school...
