Marijuana rules at UCF could change

"The UCF chapter of the National Organization for the reform of marijuana laws, or NORML, says they’re only asking for a change because the majority of students on campus want this new policy. According to the group, smoking marijuana is a lot safer than chugging down some drinks."

“Marijuana is not associated with ****, its not associated with violent crimes, its not associated with domestic abuse, overdose,” he said. “I mean drinking and driving alone is an epidemic on college campuses nationwide. You don’t have that with marijuana use.”

waste of time anyway. it's legal here in the city of denver, but they just charge you with state charges, instead of with a simple city ticket. it's actually a worse charge, than it was when it was illegal.

But if the proposal gets the ‘yes’ vote, the obvious question has to be asked. Marijuana is illegal in Florida. How would the campus rules work?
Rajan Joshi, criminal attorney, says campus policy does not supersede state law.
Well, that wraps that one up.

its good for anyone attending the school.
not everyone. it'll only be good for pot smokers attending that school. most people don't smoke, therefore, most don't give a crap about it being legal. those who do care, care for moral reasons (which i think is BS, but that's not the point). legalizing weed in tiny areas of the country is a waste of time, and in most cases, forces law enforcement to bring state charges instead, which makes a former ticket, or summons, into a more serious charge. marijuana advocates are cutting off their own noses to spite their face.

Campus police wont do any thing. its the city and county and state police you would still have to look out for.
Well no matter what the Florida state Constitution outlaws marijuana. It CANNOT pass as a law that it will be legalized on campus since its illegal anyway.

bullshit! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif you know how many people get high and drive, or get high while driving? ****ing ridiculous

NORML did the same thing @ FSU. I think they are just supposed to equalize the punishment of marijuana and alcohol. So, yes you can still get in trouble for it, but not kicked completely out of school.

Thats possible. The school could change its policy on marijuana violations, but it cant legalize it.

Unless it declared itself a seperate country from the USA and goverened itself. Dont see that happening anytime soon, though.
