btw the best settings is calling your local isf calibrator to come calibrate and second best is google or go to the http://www.avsforum.com and ask and see what answers you get.

but me i paid $400 to get my set isft calibrated and it was worth the money. kind of like having a $10000 audio setup and just guessing the eq settings just takes way to much time and like they say your listining to your room not your speakers unless you have proper room treatment....or asking for someone else's settings is also not good.

many different types of rooms and setups. so the best cheap option is to go pick up a calibration disk from digital video essentials their cheap like $30-40 and sometimes the local blockbuster has them to rent to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I'm only talkin about the settings like, tint, brightness, color, all that. I figured I'd try to make this 600 dollar tv looks like its worth a lil more than that.

Just get a test DVD (some movies already have a lot of the color patterns on them) and configure it to look the best for your eyes. No two TVs are going to be the same, room lighting, age, signal source quality are all going to be very big factors which affect the picture on the display.
