Story of My Life...
Looking for insight on the Mach 5 MJ 18" woofer. How much power are you giving yours, and what kind of output do you have? Please recommend me an amp for it also if you would.

I plan to do a half wall to get rid of my back seat, mainly for a reason not to have a back seat anymore.

Want sound quality, but I also want it to get loud and super low. I'm thinking sealed, how big?

Also, what kind of front stage do I need to keep up with it?

I had mine in 3.5cf sealed on 600w, and it was beautiful. The lows weren't amazing, they were just right. Not over-pronounced, yet not leaving anything to be desired. You're gonna adore that thing on rock music.

If you're losing the back seat, and want sound quality, go IB with 2x15's
What kind of 15's will get low and loud with 4-500 rms each?

Hmmm, good to hear. I haven't been paid in a month now, and I'm getting $900 on Tuesday, so I'm going to start buying, and I've been eyeing an MJ18 on Mach 5's site.

I listen to every thing. From rap, to old Hank Williams Sr. (country) I like the double bass on rock, and I also looooooove them low notes in some country songs. But I also want it to be loud as shit so I can shutup some ******* trying to bump some shit *** xplods at the light. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Do you think two MJ18's will sound good with 500 rms going to each? 1000 rms @ two ohms is a lot easier to find (and cheaper) then 6-800 at 4 ohms. I have a decent sized back seat area, and shouldn't have a problem fitting at least 7 cubes.

1 Mj 18 ~3 cubes sealed on ~400 watts works well in my hatchback. It sounds great and it seems to impress as I've had alot of comments about my system. It's plenty loud for a daily banger (for me anyway)...but I'm going to the extreme and putting 2 ported and throwing some more power at em. I'd say 2 sealed in a semi-wall with RMS or slightly more would be awesome. Probably wont win any SPL comps, but for a daily driver it should be plenty loud and sound good too.

get two of the IXL 15, which is what i plan on doing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif And any IB setup would hit the lows TBH

if you want 1000@2ohm then get my amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
