M5 all day, I personally would only consider the M5 or the M3, and choosing between those is just choosing your personality type.
Oh and on a side note (I havent read all the comments but something about them breaking down) This coming from a bimmer owner: All cars break down and have things break on them, my 12 yr old look like its a 6 yr old, second owner, 140k, only major mechanical problems that i have had that were not caused by just general deterioration from old age, was the engine block was leaking a tad(quick fix) and one time when it was raining and flooding on my way home, I sat in a puddle when stopped at a stop light //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif and got water in the intake(but that wasnt a big problem either) So aside form general wear and tear from old age like things breaking off in the interior and a few plastic pieces in the engine bay needing to be replaced(cracked radiator reservoir) its has been a great car, replacement parts can be very expensive and limited of brand choice but your also guaranteed quality in them. No other car drives quite like a bimmer(they have a different feel to them just different not necessarily better, get a sportier/faster version though for a tighter suspension, mine's way too soft //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif), at least no other car that i have driven. Also, when they are older they are bitch to take apart cause all the little plastic clips on the car break off from never being undone before, but with a newer one audio upgrades shouldnt be difficult to do, hopefully.
