M.e.c.p. Test????

i'm in trouble. currently, i'm attending acoustic edge institute in houston. i'm from atlanta. this school is slamming the whole m.e.c.p. study book on us in one week. we have to take the certification test tomorrow. my problem is i cant remember all this stuff in one week. what's the normal study time for an average intellegent individual to pass this test? i feel like an idiot. i'm just not getting it. i cant remember all the ohm's law formulas, diodes, all all that stuff. i really need to pass this test. my people put up alot of money to got to this school. i don't want to let them down. i've been doing that my whole life.

anybody got any suggestions in regards to passing this test? thanx

Cram. You'll do fine.

I passed the test 5 days after receiving my book.

I've always had an insane memory and I'm a good test taker though, so maybe my results aren't normal...

The only difficult questions on the beginner exam are the detail questions. Stuff like resistor bands, crossover and speaker components, stuff like that. 90% of the test can be answered correctly by somebody with a little bit of car audio hands on experience and some common sense.

Yeah I didnt feel it was difficult at all but I had a good deal of knowledge before going to school. We also only had 5 days to study. It helps a great deal if you have someone to help you study by reading the questions and answers to you. Im sure you arent the only one in your class having trouble so get together with them and study.

well, i'm smarter than most but this shit is wooping my ***. maybe, i'm too old for this shit. not install, but school. a 30 yearold doesn't belong in school. specially if i haven't been in a class since i was 23

didn't take it- i got sick wednesday night. missed class thursday. i'm gonna take the test monday or tuesday. i'm gonna study like hell this weekend. kinda hard to focus in class when you gotta worry about other shit
You'll do fine. Test isn't as hard as it seems. Take the practice test online.
