there is no "best" sub. what sounds good to me may not sound good to you. now dont get me wrong, i have a 10w7 in my olds and it sounds absoultly great.

as far as loud goes, my dd2510 blows it out of the water in the same car and off of the same amp.

Was gonna be my suggestion. Not sure about it beating 3 12s though. Get a 15 inch AQ HDc3 if you plan on moving up to 2kw like you said. Not sure what your goal is, but you should be happy with the results.
