1.5-2k is perfect for a TC Sounds TC-3000. If you want a bit of SQ to go with a lot of SPL, and better low end than the other stuff mentioned, go with one of those. If you just want to burp then get something else I guess.

they still sound fine if they don't have that much power, pimpedout97x had one running off of like less than 1000 watts just to test it and it sounded fine

I ran my MT's on 900 watts each and they sounded awesome. 149.7 dB on 1800 watts total. I was using a single MD2D to test and tune.

Nice thing about an MT is it will sound great on 2k, and you more than likely will never hurt it on that much power.
